1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

1.1 These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AuthorsWrites, LLC ("AuthorsWrites," "we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company, governing your access to and use of the websites BookBridge.IO and ReaderBridge.IO (collectively, the "Platforms") and all related services, features, and content (collectively, the "Services").

1.2 By accessing or using either Platform, creating an account, or clicking "I Agree," you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to any of these Terms, you must immediately cease use of the Services.

1.3 We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the Platforms at least fourteen (14) days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Services after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

1.4 The Services are intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

2. DEFINITIONS

As used in these Terms, the following definitions apply:

"AuthorsWrites, LLC"

means the limited liability company operating the Platforms.

"Author"

means any individual or entity registered on BookBridge.IO as a book author, co-author, pen-name holder, or publisher.

"BookBridge.IO"

means the author-facing platform operated by AuthorsWrites, LLC for book marketing, book swaps, and coordinated promotional campaigns.

"ReaderBridge.IO"

means the reader-facing platform operated by AuthorsWrites, LLC through which readers discover books, join reading lists, download eBooks and ARCs, and engage with authors.

"Platform" or "Platforms"

means BookBridge.IO and/or ReaderBridge.IO, individually or collectively.

"Services"

means all features, tools, functionality, and content provided through the Platforms.

"User Content"

means any content—including text, images, book files, cover art, author bios, and marketing copy—submitted, uploaded, or posted to the Platforms by a user.

"Book Swap"

means a mutually agreed promotional arrangement between two or more Authors whereby each Author promotes the other's book(s) to their respective reader audiences.

"Promotional Campaign"

means an organized marketing activity facilitated through BookBridge.IO in which one or more Authors participate to increase reader discovery and email-list growth.

"Subscription Plan"

means a paid membership tier granting access to enhanced features on either or both Platforms.

"ARC"

means Advance Review Copy — a pre-publication version of a book distributed to readers for the purpose of obtaining reviews.

"AI Tools"

means any artificial intelligence-assisted features on the Platforms used for content generation, metadata optimization, campaign planning, or related purposes.

"Reader"

means any individual who accesses ReaderBridge.IO to discover, download, or engage with books and authors.

3. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES

3.1 BookBridge.IO. BookBridge.IO is a marketing platform designed for independent authors, hybrid authors, and small publishers. Through BookBridge.IO, Authors may: (a) create and manage Book Swap agreements with other Authors; (b) participate in coordinated Promotional Campaigns to grow their readership and email lists; (c) distribute eBook files and ARCs to readers via ReaderBridge.IO or integrated third-party delivery systems; (d) access campaign and delivery analytics; and (e) use AI Tools for content creation, campaign planning, and metadata optimization.

3.2 ReaderBridge.IO. ReaderBridge.IO is the companion reader-facing platform through which readers may: (a) discover books through author promotions and curated campaigns; (b) download eBooks and ARCs made available by participating Authors; (c) opt in to Author email lists and newsletters; and (d) leave reviews and provide feedback on books received.

3.3 AuthorsWrites, LLC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time, with or without notice, and shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

4. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND SECURITY

4.1 Account Creation. To access certain features of the Platforms, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update that information as necessary to keep it accurate.

4.2 Account Security. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify AuthorsWrites, LLC immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any security breach at support@bookbridge.io.

4.3 Account Restrictions. You may not: (a) create more than one account per person without prior written consent; (b) share your account credentials with any third party; or (c) transfer your account to another party without AuthorsWrites, LLC's prior written consent.

4.4 AuthorsWrites, LLC will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.

5. SUBSCRIPTIONS, PAYMENTS, AND REFUNDS

5.1 Free and Paid Tiers. The Platforms offer both a free tier and paid Subscription Plans. Paid Subscription Plans provide access to enhanced features including, but not limited to, advanced campaign management, priority placement in promotions, expanded ARC delivery capacity, and full access to AI Tools.

5.2 Billing. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at the time of purchase. All fees are stated in United States Dollars. By subscribing, you authorize AuthorsWrites, LLC to charge your designated payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

5.3 Payment Processing. All payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. AuthorsWrites, LLC does not store your credit card or banking account information. All payment data is handled by our payment processor in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.

5.4 Fee Changes. AuthorsWrites, LLC reserves the right to change Subscription fees at any time. We will provide at least thirty (30) days' written notice before any fee increase takes effect. Your continued use of a paid Subscription after the effective date of a fee change constitutes your acceptance of the new fees.

5.5 Cancellation. You may cancel your Subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the paid period.

5.6 Refunds. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as expressly stated in a separate written agreement. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a Subscription term.

5.7 Author-to-Reader Transactions. BookBridge.IO and/or ReaderBridge.IO may facilitate direct transactions between Authors and Readers, including the sale of books and acceptance of reader tips or gratuities. AuthorsWrites, LLC acts solely as a platform facilitator for such transactions and is not a party to any agreement between Authors and Readers. Authors are solely responsible for all sales taxes, income taxes, and other applicable taxes arising from such transactions.

6. BOOK PROMOTIONS AND BOOK SWAPS

6.1 Participation. Authors may participate in Promotional Campaigns and Book Swaps through BookBridge.IO. By joining a Promotional Campaign or entering into a Book Swap, you agree to fulfill all promotional obligations described at the time of enrollment, including promoting other Authors' books to your reader audience as agreed.

6.2 Good Faith Obligations. All Authors participating in Book Swaps agree to act in good faith and to promote participating Authors' books with substantially equal effort and audience reach as agreed at the time of the swap. Misrepresentation of audience size, engagement rates, or promotional reach is a material breach of these Terms.

6.3 Content Responsibility. Each Author is solely responsible for ensuring that all books, marketing copy, cover art, and other materials submitted for promotion are: (a) lawfully owned or licensed by the Author; (b) not defamatory, obscene, or infringing upon the rights of any third party; and (c) accurately described and not misleadingly marketed to Readers.

6.4 Third-Party Program Compliance. By listing a book on BookBridge.IO or ReaderBridge.IO, you represent and warrant that doing so does not violate the terms of any other platform, retailer, or program in which you are enrolled, including exclusivity requirements such as Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing Select (KDP Select). AuthorsWrites, LLC is not responsible for any penalties, account suspensions, or losses you incur as a result of violating third-party program terms.

6.5 Right to Decline or Remove. AuthorsWrites, LLC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to decline to feature, remove, or delist any book or Author from any Promotional Campaign or Book Swap at any time, including where we reasonably determine that the book or associated content violates these Terms, applicable law, or community standards.

7. eBOOK AND ARC DELIVERY

7.1 File Responsibility. Authors uploading eBook or ARC files to the Platforms are solely responsible for the accuracy, quality, completeness, and legality of those files. AuthorsWrites, LLC does not review, edit, or endorse any eBook or ARC content uploaded by Authors.

7.2 Delivery Limitations. AuthorsWrites, LLC makes commercially reasonable efforts to deliver eBook and ARC files to Readers as directed by participating Authors. However, we do not guarantee delivery success and are not liable for delays, failures, or errors in delivery, whether attributable to our systems or to third-party delivery integrations.

7.3 Reader Use Restrictions. Readers who download eBooks or ARCs through ReaderBridge.IO may use those files solely for personal, non-commercial reading purposes. Redistribution, resale, piracy, or unauthorized copying of any eBook or ARC obtained through the Platforms is strictly prohibited and may constitute copyright infringement under applicable law.

7.4 ARC Review Obligations. Where Authors distribute ARCs for the purpose of obtaining honest reader reviews, Readers receiving such ARCs agree to provide genuine, unbiased reviews that comply with all applicable retailer guidelines, including Amazon's Community Guidelines.

8. USER CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

8.1 Ownership. You retain all ownership rights in your User Content. By submitting User Content to the Platforms, you grant AuthorsWrites, LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and adapt your User Content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Services.

8.2 Minor Modifications. You grant AuthorsWrites, LLC the right to make minor modifications to your User Content — such as formatting adjustments, file compression, or adding digital watermarks — that do not materially alter the meaning or substance of your content.

8.3 Your Warranties. By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have obtained all necessary rights and licenses to the User Content; (b) your User Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; and (c) your User Content does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

8.4 Platform Content. All text, software, graphics, logos, trademarks, trade dress, and other content created and owned by AuthorsWrites, LLC ("Platform Content") is our exclusive property protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any Platform Content without our prior written consent.

8.5 DMCA Notice and Takedown. AuthorsWrites, LLC respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you believe that any content on the Platforms infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to support@bookbridge.io that includes: (a) a description of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (b) the URL or other identification of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized; and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

9. AI-GENERATED CONTENT

9.1 AI Tools. BookBridge.IO may provide AI-powered tools to assist Authors with content creation, metadata generation, marketing copy, and related tasks. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, verifying, and taking full legal responsibility for any content generated by AI Tools before using it in any context.

9.2 Accuracy Disclaimer. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, outdated information, or inconsistencies. AuthorsWrites, LLC makes no representation or warranty regarding the accuracy, quality, originality, or suitability of AI-generated content for any purpose.

9.3 Intellectual Property. The ownership status of AI-generated content is subject to evolving legal standards and may vary by jurisdiction. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of AI-generated content complies with all applicable laws, including copyright law, and with any applicable requirements to disclose the use of AI in creative works.

9.4 Prohibited AI Uses. You may not use AI Tools on the Platforms to generate content that is defamatory, discriminatory, deceptive, pornographic, or that infringes the rights of any third party.

10. EMAIL LIST AND NEWSLETTER COMPLIANCE

10.1 Reader Opt-Ins. The Platforms may facilitate the collection of Reader email addresses on behalf of Authors through Promotional Campaigns, landing pages, and book delivery confirmations. Authors who receive Reader email addresses through the Platforms are solely responsible for managing those email lists in compliance with all applicable laws.

10.2 CAN-SPAM and Anti-Spam Compliance. Authors agree to comply with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 and all other applicable anti-spam laws in connection with any commercial email sent to Readers acquired through the Platforms. This includes, without limitation: (a) providing a clear and conspicuous unsubscribe mechanism in every commercial email; (b) honoring opt-out requests within ten (10) business days; (c) accurately identifying the sender; (d) not using deceptive subject lines or headers; and (e) including a valid physical postal address.

10.3 Opt-In Consent. Authors may not add any Reader's email address to a third-party email service provider list unless that Reader has explicitly opted in to receive communications from that Author. Pre-checking consent boxes or bundling consent with other agreements is prohibited.

10.4 Platform Email Communications. AuthorsWrites, LLC will send Readers transactional emails related to their use of ReaderBridge.IO and, with consent, promotional emails about the Services. Readers may opt out of promotional emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.

10.5 Indemnification for Email Violations. Authors agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AuthorsWrites, LLC from and against any and all claims, fines, penalties, damages, or expenses arising from any violation by the Author of this Section 10 or any applicable anti-spam law.

11. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable federal, state, or local law or regulation;
  • Upload, post, or transmit any User Content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or that infringes any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
  • Use automated systems, bots, scrapers, or similar tools to harvest data, email addresses, or other information from the Platforms without prior written consent from AuthorsWrites, LLC;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the security, integrity, or performance of the Platforms or the servers and networks connected to the Platforms;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, database, or network associated with the Platforms;
  • Use the Services to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam) or engage in phishing activities;
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with any payment, subscription, access control, or content-protection mechanism on the Platforms;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of any software underlying the Platforms;
  • Upload or transmit any malware, viruses, Trojan horses, ransomware, or other malicious code;
  • Engage in fraudulent promotional activities, including generating fake reader reviews, artificially inflating engagement metrics, or misrepresenting book performance data;
  • Use the Services to commercially exploit another user's User Content without that user's express written consent.

AuthorsWrites, LLC reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and, in its sole discretion, to remove User Content, suspend accounts, and report violations to law enforcement authorities.

12. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

12.1 The Platforms may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services, including email service providers, payment processors, and book retailers. AuthorsWrites, LLC has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party website or service.

12.2 We do not endorse, warrant, or make any representations about third-party websites or services. Your use of any third-party website or service is at your own risk and subject to that party's applicable terms and privacy policy.

13. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. AUTHORSWRITE, LLC DOES NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (B) ANY RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; OR (C) ANY DEFECTS OR ERRORS IN THE SERVICES WILL BE CORRECTED. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

14.1

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AUTHORSWRITE, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICES, EVEN IF AUTHORSWRITE, LLC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

14.2

IN NO EVENT SHALL AUTHORSWRITE, LLC'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO AUTHORSWRITE, LLC IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (B) ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (\$100.00).

14.3 Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. To the extent that such exclusions or limitations are not permitted in your jurisdiction, they shall be interpreted to apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

15. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AuthorsWrites, LLC, its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your access to or use of the Services;
  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your User Content or any materials you upload, post, or transmit through the Platforms;
  • Your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property, privacy, or contractual right;
  • Your email marketing practices or violation of Section 10 of these Terms;
  • Any Book Swap or Promotional Campaign commitment you fail to fulfill; or
  • Any claim that your book, cover, or promotional materials caused harm to a third party.

16. TERMINATION

16.1 By You. You may terminate your account at any time by accessing your account settings or by contacting us at support@bookbridge.io. Termination does not entitle you to any refund of prepaid fees.

16.2 By AuthorsWrites, LLC. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) conduct that AuthorsWrites, LLC determines, in its sole discretion, is harmful to other users, to the Platforms, or to third parties; (c) fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive behavior; or (d) extended account inactivity.

16.3 Effect of Termination. Upon termination: (a) your right to access and use the Services shall immediately cease; (b) we may delete your account and associated User Content without further notice or liability, except as required by law; and (c) any active Book Swap commitments you have entered into remain binding as between you and the other participating Authors.

16.4 Survival. Sections 8 (User Content and Intellectual Property), 10.5 (Indemnification for Email Violations), 13 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 14 (Limitation of Liability), 15 (Indemnification), 17 (Dispute Resolution), 18 (Governing Law), and 19 (General Provisions) shall survive any termination of these Terms.

17. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND ARBITRATION

17.1 Informal Resolution. Before initiating any formal dispute proceeding, you agree to contact us at support@bookbridge.io and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within thirty (30) days of receiving your notice.

17.2 Binding Arbitration. If the parties are unable to resolve a dispute informally, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or the Services — including questions of arbitrability — shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules or Commercial Arbitration Rules, as applicable. The arbitration shall be conducted in Spotsylvania Courthouse, Virginia, or, at the claimant's election, conducted entirely by telephone or video conference.

17.3 Class Action Waiver. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO BRING OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, CONSOLIDATED PROCEEDING, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING IN CONNECTION WITH ANY DISPUTE ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES.

17.4 Exceptions. Nothing in this Section 17 shall prevent either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent actual or threatened irreparable harm pending the completion of arbitration.

18. GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. For any disputes not subject to binding arbitration under Section 17, you consent to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

19. GENERAL PROVISIONS

19.1 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific Services or features, constitute the entire agreement between you and AuthorsWrites, LLC with respect to the Services and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, representations, and understandings.

19.2 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or arbitrator to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

19.3 Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms at any time shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

19.4 Assignment. You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. AuthorsWrites, LLC may freely assign its rights and obligations under these Terms, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law.

19.5 Force Majeure. AuthorsWrites, LLC shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance to the extent caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemic, natural disasters, power failures, or Internet or telecommunications outages.

19.6 Electronic Communications. You consent to receive communications from AuthorsWrites, LLC electronically. We will communicate with you by email or by posting notices on the Platforms. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

19.7 Notices. Legal notices to AuthorsWrites, LLC must be sent to support@bookbridge.io. We will provide notices to you via the email address associated with your account. Email notices shall be deemed given twenty-four (24) hours after the email is sent.

19.8 Headings. Section headings in these Terms are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of any provision.
